Shropshire Council outdoor recreation survey 2013

To help improve Shropshire Councils services they undertake an annual outdoor recreation satisfaction survey and they would like to hear from us. In these days of stringent financial measures your responses will help them identify key areas for maintenance and development.

The survey should only take about 15 minutes and is in three parts:

Part 1 is about Rights of Way (footpaths and bridleways maintained by Shropshire Council)

Part 2 is about Parks, play areas and countryside sites managed by Shropshire Council

Part 3 asks for details about yourself.

You can fill in either or both parts 1 and 2, but please complete part 3.

The closing date for responses is 31st March 2013.

Quiz and Curry Night – another success

A great night was had by all at our fund-raising Quiz and Curry Night. We had 13 teams and managed to raise over £400. This money will allow us to take on some urgent drainage improvement jobs over the next few months (all the money raised goes directly on materials and equipment hire).

Many thanks to all involved and to everyone who bought tickets and raffle tickets. Your support is much appreciated.

A special thanks to our sponsors (County Treks and Clare), to Jo for the catering and making the very yummy curries and to all who helped with question rounds and running the evening (including Pete, Clare, Chris, Jo, Yvonne, Olwen, John).

We now have a Facebook page. Many thanks to Tanya for putting this together.

This has already proved a great way to get more people to know about the Clee View Bridleways Group and to promote our Quiz/Curry Night fund raising event on 9th Nov. We have had new people from both within the area and nearby get in-touch  All are welcome to come and help us by attending events, helping at work parties, providing sponsorship/donations or attending our meetings. We look to meeting with our new supports soon.

Fund Raising Quiz and Curry Night – Friday 9th November 2012

We are holding a Fun Quiz & Curry Night on Friday November 9th 2012 starting 7:30 pm prompt at Farlow and Oreton Village Hall.

Please do come and bring friends/family. The Quiz will be on general topics and non-horsey specific.

Tickets £7.00 to include veg or  non-veggie curry. Bring your own drinks.

We urgently need to raise more funds to purchase materials (mainly stone and drainage materials and digger hire)  to help us repair and make safe a number of routes so do please buy a ticket and encourage anyone you know who enjoys a Quiz and a curry to come along.
