The Clee View Bridleways is a small charity formed by local riders in 2010. Our aim is to keep our local bridleways accessible and also to try to open up new routes. Our main focus is the area to the NE of the Titterstone Clee Hill in South Shropshire (see map)
We are a small group of volunteers made up of local riders, family members and people with an interest in keeping our local bridleways open and safe.
We meet every few weeks and all are welcome to attend our meetings and work parties.
We raise funds and do improvement work on the bridleways ourselves.
Fundraising
We are totally dependent on raising all our own funds for materials (drainage pipe, stone, gravel etc.) and the occasional hire of heavy equipment for larger projects by : –
Donations
If you use the bridleways and appreciate the work we are doing then please consider making a donation.
Every penny is spent directly on the bridleways.
Events
Quiz Nights, Fun Rides, Social Evenings etc.
Sponsorship
Opportunities for local businesses to be linked with the group
We are recognised by Shropshire Council as a P3 (Parish Paths Partnership) volunteer group in South Shropshire.
We have regular contact with the statutory access officers in the Council and apply for grants and help where appropriate.
Please do contact us if you are interested in keeping safe access to our local bridleways. With ever busier roads and reduced council funding it will be up to local people to keep our bridleways open and also look to creating new routes where possible.
If you ride and/or are concerned about keeping horse riders safe then do become a member of Clee View Bridleways group and consider making a donation and/or providing help. Every bit counts.
