John, Steve, Yvonne, Clare and Chris had a successful session on Friday (12th) clearing the Route A which was virtually impassable. Once the drainage work has been done this will be a lovely addition to our bridleway network.
John and Steve hope to start work on the drainage work this week. Please contact Steve or John if you are able to help even if it is only to drop by for moral support and take refreshments.
Work started on the bridleway, part of the ditch dug out, 50 metres pipe laid and covered with gravel, all was going well until the dumper broke down. Steve and John were unable to fix it last night, so todays job is to have another go at fixing it. John has put up signs either end of the route saying :Closed due to drainage work:.3 loads of stone have been delivered, 1 more due on Wednesday.
