Chairman’s Report:
2013-2014 has been another successful year for the bridleways group. The group has made much needed improvements to some key routes, has created an important new route connecting 2 parts of the common avoiding a road with some dangerous bends and had success with grants.
Highlights include:
- Further drainage work on Walters Lane (additional laterals)
- Install new gate onto Catherton Common from Hill Houses
- Create new permissive route joining Jack Mytton Way (J) with bridleway (K) on common
- Open up bridleway K which had disappeared and was unusable
- Open up bridleway T which had disappeared and was unusable
- Improvements to gate at top of Crammer Gutter
- Clearance work from Crammer Gutter onto Common
- Successful application for LJC grant for permissive route project
- Social meal
